Mole Antonelliana
Mole Antonelliana este un mare reper al oraşului Italian Torino. Ea este numită după arhitectul care a construit-o, Alessandro Antonelli. Construcţia ei a fost începută în 1863 şi a fost terminată 26 de ani mai târziu, după moartea arhitectului. În zilele noastre
Găzduieste Muzeul Naţional de Cinema, şi este considerat a fi cel mai Înalt muzeu din lume.
Clădirea a fost concepută şi construită pentru a fi sinagogă. Comunitatea evreiască Torineză s-a bucurat de drepturi civile din anul 1848 iar de atunci construcţia sinagogii a început, Torino a fost capitala noului Stat Italian, numele care l-a tinut intre ani 1860-64. Comunitatea , cu un buget de 250,000 lire si cu intenţia de a avea o clădire demnă de capitală, a angajat pe Antonio Antonelli. El a promis construcţia unei sinagogi de 280.000 lire. Relaţia dintre Antonelli şi comunitatea evreiască nu a fost una fericită. El a început să propună o serie de modificări care, în final au crescut înălţimea construcţiei până la 113 metri, cu peste 47 metri mai înaltă faţă de construcţia iniţială.
